Joseph Smith Memorial

One of the benefits of our new area is being able to visit the Joseph Smith Memorial often. We usually go over every Monday evening to enjoy Family Home Evening with the senior missionaries serving there. It is a beautiful, peaceful spot where the sprit of the Prophet is felt strongly. We also use it as a great missionary tool. On several occasions we have brought investigators to the center and they are impressed with the special feeling they have there.

The monument is located in Sharon, Vermont, about a half hour from where we are located in NH. This is the monument. It is 38 1/2 ft. tall, a ft. for each year of the Prophet's life. It was quarried out of beautiful granite from the Barre, Vermont quarry.

This is the site where the home was actually located.
